lunargypsie: (OH Shit! It is Snowing!)
When I am sick, and cant' do much but lay in bed, thinking and resting, I tend to do some reality checks and soul searching. Why would today be any different then any other day.

That being said, I have a lot to do, barely scrapen by, and I see no end to our household woes.

Today's Moto: Can't rain all the time... Or can it?

The baby girl is so sick. Sicker then yesterday. She has a fever I constantly am breaking with alternating medications. This morning she spent 45 mins after waking up just shaking and shivering under blankets. I pulled out the heating pad to help her. Seems to be working. At this point I don't know what else to do to help her get comfortable. [livejournal.com profile] zorgaulf is being a great help in getting things, and helping me set her up. She is in my chair right now, with a TV lap tray, and a laptop (currently updating). Hopefully I can keep her rested and in one place today.

Taking care of a sick girl when you are also sick, isn't fun at all...

Next on my plate. Making a birthday cake. This ought to be fun... (note the sarcasm)

After visiting my sister in Colorado, I have been basically recovering one event after another. My doctor has been very helpful and giving me meds over the phone rather then I having to go in because of insurance reasons.

So what have I been doing

July: 12 days visiting sister, Cleaning house, Friend Drama

August: Norwescon Picnic, more cleaning, Son Drama, Gaming, getting kids ready for school, Cleaning out and up 2 bedrooms (finished one), Friend drama

September: Norwescon Data entry, Kids start school, Son Drama, Gaming, Trip to E.R., Finish cleaning up 1 of the bedrooms

I guess when I put it in this perspective, it really does not look like much, but it feels like a lot.

On the plus side, yesterday was the first day in over 2 months I woke up NOT in pain. *CHEERS* Down side; As the day went on, it started to creep back.

Update about the household forth coming....
lunargypsie: (Changing colors)
OK, Yes, I got my tongue pierced. I love it! No, I didn't get it for the reason you think. I got it because I wanted to, and like the aspect of going against the odds.

Norwescon picnic today was cool. Got to seem my seasonal friends. always a good thing. Out showed the guys how to throw a football, getting back to my tom-boy roots. I loved that too. Although now I am paying for it. In lots of pain, but it will pass.

Speaking of pain... until today, my over all pain levels have dropped. Taking less of the uber pain meds. This is a plus in my book.

And finally, I am going to Colorado for a week to help my sister. It is going to be full of drama, and the first time I have been away from my baby girl for more then 24 hours. I have a funny feeling that I am going to end up with [livejournal.com profile] activegnome's family before I leave, based on my families history. I have not seen any of my family is 5-7 years or more. And I might even see my brother whom I have not seen or talked to in over 15 years. I leave Thursday morning. I am going to feel so out of place, and miss everyone at the house greatly. *la sigh*

and now....back to your regularly scheduled program.

I never know how much I used this body part till now. It hurts, but I am so glad I did it.
lunargypsie: (Joy)
I DID IT! Didnt hurt then, but it hurts now. *sigh* But it is fun! I did it!

Fill you all in later if you ask nicely. *smile*

The 4th of July is among one of may favorite holidays, however it also is one of the most painful ones. Redden with painful emotional memory's I wish I could forget.

Today

~ 3 years ago today my step-father, only father I know basically, died by his own hands
~ upset roommates in some fashion by my doing in some way, all of the roomates
~ Feel like I am a burden on the whole family right now having to ask for help, even to wash my hair in the shower for me, getting dressed and undressed, and little things like brushing my hair or putting toothpaste on my brush
~ baby sister G got arrested today for warrants no one know she had
~ went to MD's to get french fries (comfort food) and my credit card was missing
~ Takes me FOREVER to type out this LJ post one handed and left handed mouse activity

End

Lots of pain, tears, heartache and sorrow

I am going to hide again. it is safer that way

Coolness is when a friend comes over and helps do the little things on your house hold list, and gets them done.

Plants retied up...
Pictures hung up...
Under the couch and chairs are clean...
All clean laundry is put away...
and the ever famous ~ And more...

over all, a very productive day/weekend

First time in goddess knows how long that my boys and I went out together on a date. Granted, the little girl was there, but it still felt like a date. When all is said and done thought, I feel awful for leaving the house. I should of suggested we stayed home and watched a movie at home.

Yesterday was a great lesson to teaches me for being out of the house the first time in over 2 weeks, let alone, out on a date. No the grocery store does not count as getting out of the house when you are a stay at home type person.

The baby girl has a front tooth loose.
We have been trying to get her to pull it for a couple of days now. She final broke down tonight and said "Ok, mom, you can try"

That being said, I told her I was only going to try one time, then I was done for the night.

She dried off the tooth and I grab the tooth.

As I was talking to her she wanted me to count to three.
The quotes for the night:

Do you want me to count to three then pull?
or
Do you want me to go; one, two, and pull on three?
or
Do you just want me to (and I pulled when I said this) just pull the tooth out?

And out came the tooth. Sometimes moms just have to do the element of supprize to get things done.

afterwords she told us it didn't hurt to have me pull it.

Bedtime stories was a GREAT, fun and fresh movie. I loved it. It was NOT predictable in a "Disney" type fashion.

I would recomand it to anyone.

Which leads me to my next point. I have only done this one other time, so I feel bad. I double bought a movie and didn't know it. Because the first time I bought "Bedtime Stories" was before my husband lost his job and I got it on blue-ray. Because it was blue-ray and a new movie, we have this thing my husband and I do, that we try to watch new movies togeather. So I set the new movie on a shelf and was waiting for my husband to have time to watch it with me and the kids (something about after Norwescon).

Today I was in the store and know I would be in pain, and had the baby girl, so I asked if we can buy it so we would have something just her and I do. (It has started being a tradition with her and I)

End of the story, I have 2 copy's of the movie. I would like to know if anyone out there is interested in buy/trading me the movie for 1/2 of what I payed for it, or a fair trade for something I don't have. It has only been watched once. The copy that is up for trade/sale is NOT a blue ray DVD. If anyone is interested, please let my husband or I know. I don't want it to go to waste.

Thanks
